Winter Break 

My Winter Break was good it started off of me thinking i was going to Mexico but i did not end up going because the tickets were to expensive so we did not end up going we planned to stay there the whole break but it did not happen. Places i went was Las Vegas with my aunt and cousins for a few days it was fun because we stayed in the same hotel. What we did in Las Vegas was go walk in the Strip, circus circus, and went to this place called Hoover Dam. I did not meet any people over the break expect my friends they met ricegum and some faze members. I watched this movie called BirdBox it was interesting i thought it was like a horror film but it was not we watched it on Christmas day. Sports i played over the break was basketball and football with my family. I watched my team play the wildcard in football but they did not win but they played a good season. I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain for the first time and it was a fun experience i went with my friends and it was fun and relaxing.

                  The Internet Is Broken

Sir Tim Berners-Lee’s optimism about the future of the web is starting to wane in the face of a “nasty storm” of issues including the rollback of net neutrality protections, the proliferation of fake news, propaganda and the web’s increasing polarisation. The inventor of the world wide web always maintained his creation was a reflection of humanity – the good, the bad and the ugly. But Berners-Lee’s vision for an “open platform that allows anyone to share information, access opportunities and collaborate across geographical boundaries” has been challenged by increasingly powerful digital gatekeepers whose algorithms can be weaponised by master manipulators. The London-born computer scientist said the web is no longer the open, constructive platform he envisioned when he invented it 29 years ago. He rattled off a long list of concerns, such as user frustration with ads and privacy, hate speech and fake news. Last week he told Reuters that tech giants like Google and Facebook may have to be broken up citing "danger of concentration." 

What is computer engineering?

   Computer engineering (CE) students study the design of digital hardware and software systems including communications systems, computers and devices that contain computers. For them, programming is focused on digital devices and their interfaces with users and other devices.

  Computer hardware engineers research, design, develop, test, and oversee the installation of computer hardware and supervise its manufacture and installation. Hardware refers to computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment such as keyboards, modems, and printers.

  Computer engineering majors are offered by a fairly large number of universities, almost always within engineering. This major requires significant study of mathematics. The work of computer hardware engineers is very similar to that of electronics engineers, but, unlike electronics engineers, computer hardware engineers work exclusively with computers and computer-related equipment. The rapid advances in computer technology are largely a result of the research, development, and design efforts of computer hardware engineers.

What is computer science?

Computer science develops students' computational and critical thinking skills and shows them how to create new technologies. Foundational computer science courses in K-12 teach the fundamental concepts of computing. The AP course under development focuses around seven big ideas at the core of computer science.

How us Computer Science Used in Various Careers?

The fundamental knowledge is needed to prepare students for the 21st century, regardless of their ultimate field of study or occupation. 70 percent of computing are outside of the marination technology industry: 9 percent are in information services, 12 percent are in financial services, 36 percent are in professional and business services, 7 percent are in government and public education services, and 12 percent are in manufacturing. The College Board states studying AP Computer Science can open the pathway to 130 career areas and 48 college majors.

Student Summer Discussion 

I talked to Angel and he said that he went on bike trips with his friends during the summer and he spent it with friends and family. In addition, he went to a water park with his friends and he had fun he was there for a good couple of hours enjoying himself. Another friend I spoke to was Leo he said that he spent it with family and watching the World Cup games in the morning. He also mentioned that he went shopping for back to school. 

My Summer Vacation

My Summer vacation, what i did over the summer was fun and boring at some times my first week I got before summer school i spent it with my family and I went to workout in the days had to do chores here and there but I had no option. Summer school started and well I didn't want to go but i had too or else i won't get the credits nor graduate high school I would wake up every morning Monday-Friday at 7:30 am to shower and change school started at 8:30 am it was a whole month of summer school I had to attend but overall I finished all work and successfully passed the classes I needed to get my credits. In the middle of summer school I went on a 3 day vacation to a place called Laughlin, NV it was hot the temperature would reach 105-112 degrees in the day in the night it would be around the ninety's. In the first day of Laughlin we went to go buy food and snacks because we were heading to the river to get wet and have fun! The river we headed to was the Colorado River various of people went there we found a place to put the stuff down and set up everything. After the river we went to check in the hotel and we did we went to the hotel room we had a few hours till the firework show  I went to go get a workout in for a hour or so I came back and I showered, changed, and headed out with my family to see the show. When the firework show ended we went to go see the movie that came out that day it was called "The First Purge" me and my cousins went to go see it my thoughts on the movie, well it was a good movie and in parts a bit funny but overall it was a good movie. The next day we rented Jet ski's it was my first time on a jet ski and it was a fun experience. Friday morning we were packing up and we headed back home but overall my summer was well spent with my family.
